Blind Tiger originally launched back in 2018 when we planned to create a confectionary company - specifically gummy bears that would mirror the flavors of Prohibition-style drinks.
The name Blind Tiger comes from the Prohibition-era custom of illegal drinking establishments (speakeasies) that displayed stuffed tigers to alert potential patrons to the availability of illegal alcohol after hours. These tigers were "blind," because the police and authorities - at least officially - did not know they existed.
And although we tested out a variety of these confectionaries alongside our signature drinks at our restaurant - Room 33 (room33.bar) - the idea never really took off and as a result Blind Tiger went into hibernation - until this past year.
